The Public Prosecution Office has once again requested an acquittal for Geert Wilders on all charges against him. The charges include insulting Muslims as a group, inciting hatred and inciting discrimination on the grounds of religion and race.
The Public Prosecution argues that Mr Wilders' comments may be experienced as insulting by certain groups, but they are directed at Islam as a religion and not at Muslims as a people. The PPO also argued that many of the comments were made in political debates. Mr Wilders' call to ban the Qur'an is on the edge of what is permissible, however, said the office.
The PPO made the same request at the first Wilders trial in October, shortly before defence lawyer Bram Moszkowicz accused the judges of bias. As a result, the judges were replaced and a retrial had to be called.
The PPO was reluctant to bring the case against Mr Wilders to trial, but was ordered to do so by an Amsterdam court.
The retrial began in February. Its first weeks have been dominated by the question of whether or not to try the controversial politician for his anti-Islam rhetoric. The judges, however, have ruled that the trial go ahead, dismissing Moszkowicz's claims the trial is unfair.

Please, tell me that someone is joking? Islam is NEITHER a religion NOR a race. It is a totalitarian CULT which its unfortunate constituents are scared to leave or even question, on pain of a charge of apostasy. That carries an automatic death sentence, straight from the koran, which any of its ~1.5 billion addicts may (actually MUST) carry out, with not only impunity from THEIR shariah law, but with aprobation. Probably have a mosque or street named after them.
This cult has idealogical, military, welfare etc., arms; one of which is quasi-religious, involving the usual peculiar rituals of a religion, and some not so usual. There is worship of a person whose crimes, were they perpetrated today, would merit the death penalty several hundred times over, yet is the sine qua non of his worshippers. There is idolatry of a meteorite. There is disgusting, barbaric, Female Genital Mutilation, though not practised by all. There are statements of their utmost superiority in their koran, which render (in their eyes and hearts)- ipso facto - all others as inferiors. It naturally follows that they should rule the whole planet, which fact they freely proclaim, particularly in the UK; without opposition from the police or government.
This is not the 'indiginous' population looking down on the new immigrants and demanding that they follow local language and customs, and fit in. It's the absolute opposite, with the immigrants aggressively demanding that the host population conforms to their ways and customs. And this is not the pot calling the kettle "sooty bottom", rather, the pot calling the china "black". Absent islam, there would be no 'no go' areas in Holland.
And how can race be relevant? Of what race is islam? All races. But it has been known to practise racism, in slavery, and in Darfur, among others.
This outlandish charade of Political Correctness, of Theatre of the Absurd, of Animal Farm, of 1984, surpasses de Sade and Kafka in Black Comedy. You judges, and those who support you, have made a mockery of the Netherlands. When Lady Justice lifts the scales from your eyes, you will see who is innocent, and who was guilty all along.

Makes me glad I live in the US. Freedom of speech needs to be granted wide latitude. Humanistic values demand this.
An absolute disgrace that this case reached court in the first place. Islam IS a wicked religion as we will all find out when, and if, we allow them to take over Europe by sheer breeding numbers. We need to disolve this EU Superstate and look after our own intetests, which include NO MORE Muslim immigration! God bless Mr Wilders for speaking up forthe silent majority.

If muslims could leave islam without being killed by other muslims how many muslims would be left on the planet ? Answer : Zero or none. It is only the threat to one's life that keeps islam evil and populated.
