Princess Máxima has attended the Grand Finale of a nationwide participation project for migrant women. The project entitled 'A Thousand and One Mights' encouraged migrant women to become active in society.
The four-year project is the result of agreements made by the PAVEM commission (Participation of Women from Ethnic Minorities) of which the princess was a member.
During the Grand Finale, the princess was presented with the first publication of a book describing migrant women's success stories and she met women involved in the project at a talent bazaar. The project involved 50,000 women.
Six of the most promising and inspiring initiatives won a 1001-euro prize as Thousand and One Might Stars sponsored by the VSB fund, which supports social initiatives.
