A light aircraft crashed at Eindhoven Airport in the south of the Netherlands on Friday afternoon. The pilot is in hospital with serious injuries.
The three passengers, a father with two children, have also been admitted to hospital, but suffered only slight injuries, an airport spokesperson said.
The Ruschmeyer R90-230RG aircraft crashed on landing. The reason for the accident is unknown.
“The plane flew in, turned sharply and dropped out of the sky. As if it were going too slowly,” an eyewitness told local TV station Omroep Brabant.
Eindhoven Airport is closed and incoming flights are being diverted to other airports.
