New Norwegian order for Dutch shipbuilder

Published on 7 February 2012 - 3:59pm
More about:

Norwegian offshore company World Wide Supply has ordered two more new platform supply vessels from Damen Shipyards in Gorinchem.

The latest order comes on top of a previous order for four such vessels in December. The six vessels will cost 144 million euros in total, the two companies announced today.

According to the shipbuilder, the first ship will be delivered early in 2013 and the last at the end of the year. The ships are specially designed for servicing oil and gas platforms in bad weather.
