The Netherlands is one of Europe’s most attractive countries in terms of operational costs.
A study published by consultancy firm KPMG shows that only the United Kingdom has lower operational costs than the Netherlands.
Of the emerging economies China is cheapest, followed by India and Mexico in second and third place. Compared to the United States, companies looking for a place of business save about 20 percent on operational costs when they choose one of the emerging economies.
The researchers compared corporate costs in 14 emerging and developed economies. The study included 26 different kinds of costs that companies encounter in the course of business.
