A suicide bomber killed at least 40 soldiers and wounded many others when he blew himself up Monday in central Sanaa, a security official said.

The bomber, dressed in military uniform, detonated his explosives in the middle of battalion of soldiers rehearsing for an army parade to mark the 22nd anniversary of the unification of north and south Yemen, the official added.
