The lawyer chosen by former Bosnian-Serb general Ratko Mladic will not be able to defend him at the Yugoslavia Tribunal in The Hague as he does not meet tribunal regulations. During his second appearance in court, Mr Mladic repeatedly mentioned the name of Belgrade lawyer Milos Saljic.
Mr Saljic, who used to be a judge on the military court of the former Yugoslavia, told the ANP news agency he does not meet the Tribunal's conditions: "I speak Russian and Albanian, but not English or French as mandatory under the Tribunal's rules."
