KLM plane engine shoots flames

Published on 22 August 2011 - 9:43pm
More about:

Flames were seen coming from a Fokker 100 plane taking off at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport on Monday evening.

The 53 passengers were taken off the KLM flight to Liverpool as a precaution after the plane returned to the airport. They will be flown to their destination later in the evening in a different plane, said a spokesperson for the airline. No one was injured.

The incident took place as the engines were started. But the spokesperson was unable to say which engine had been affected, nor could he explain what the cause may have been.

This report is flawed at every sentence. But in short, engines are started at the gate, and that is where this happened, the plane never took off, and never left te gate. If you don't leave the gate, you can't return to it either. Scrap journalism, sorry to say.
