The Yugoslavia Tribunal (ICTY) in The Hague has ordered an investigation into the health of former Bosnian Serb commander Ratko Mladic.
He is awaiting trial for genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes.
The judges want a report by 6 December at the latest on the former general’s current state of health and his medical history, including developments since his arrival at the detention centre in Scheveningen in May.
On Thursday last week Ratko Mladic was too sick to appear at a preliminary hearing.
