Geert Wilders has issued a statement denouncing Anders Behring Breivik, the man behind Friday’s massacre in Norway, as a psychopath and a madman.
The Dutch anti-Islam politician says the fact he and his Freedom Party are mentioned repeatedly in Breivik’s 1,500-page manifesto “fills him with revulsion”.
Since Breivik’s bombing and shooting spree, some commentators have pointed out that some of the ideas expressed by the Norwegian are not so far removed from those promoted by Geert Wilders and his party.
Mr Wilders refutes any suggestion of a link between his own political goals and the Norwegian’s actions “We are democrats through and through. The Freedom Party has never called for violence, nor will it ever do so. We believe in the power of the ballot box and the wisdom of the voter.''
The statement by the Freedom Party leader goes on to condemn Friday’s attacks as “a slap in the face for the worldwide anti-Islam movement” and to describe Breivik’s manifesto as the work of a madman. “He wants to work with al-Qaeda... He longs to blow up cities, dreams of knights who mutilate themselves and of meeting his hero Karadzic.”

Hiram-1 don´t bother wasting your time and energy on this idiots. They have always been PVV haters and will find anything they can to try to blame Wilders for all and everything. Here is a good article that made a lot of sense, I hope I am able to share it on here.

Don’t shift blame from Norwegian mass killer

In recent months the president of France and the prime ministers of Germany and Great Britain have all pronounced multiculturalism a failure, saying that efforts to integrate immigrants into their nations’ cultures and economies have yielded disappointing results. That doesn’t mean Nicolas Sarkozy, Angela Merkel and David Cameron should be held accountable for the crimes of Anders Breivik, the anti-immigrant perpetrator of last weekend’s mass killings in Norway. While ideas have consequences, the lines of responsibility between ideas and actions must be carefully drawn — particularly the actions of a madman.
Norwegian authorities are still investigating whether Breivik had accomplices in detonating a deadly bomb in Oslo and then gunning down victims on a nearby island, killing a total of 76 people. After his arrest Breivik has reportedly claimed to have two “cells” of collaborators. But then, he also believed his attacks would spark an uprising in defense of European civilization against immigrants, and particularly Muslims. Investigators think he was probably acting alone, and only imagines himself to be the spearpoint of resistance against an Islamic invasion.
Breivik would have little trouble finding nourishment for his extremism. Anti-immigrant and anti-Islamic sentiment is on the rise in Europe and in the United States. Breivik reportedly made contact with the English Defence League, which organizes sometimes violent protests in British Muslim communities, and an international group of Danish origin called Stop Islamisation of Europe. Parties with openly anti-immigrant platforms have won seats in European parliaments. A rich compost of manifestos provides racist and paranoid interpretations of Islamic history, culture and intentions.
But it was Breivik who planted the bomb and pulled the trigger. Ted Kaczynski was motivated by opposition to animal research, but not every animal rights defender becomes the Unabomber. Tim McVeigh was driven to violence by a belief that the U.S. government had become tyrannical, but not every anti-government activist blows up a federal building in Oklahoma City. Millions of American strongly oppose abortion, but they don’t join Scott Roeder in shooting an abortion provider at his church in Wichita, Kan.
Indeed, if every political idea that has had an act of violence committed in its name were discredited, few political ideas would remain. Responsibility for acts of violence or terrorism must remain squarely upon those who commit them.
That does not absolve extremist groups of feeding hostility and fear, but that’s different from committing acts of violence. Breivik was a powderkeg — if a spark hadn’t come from anti-immigrant ideology, it probably would have come from somewhere else. Based on what’s known so far, blame rests with one man.

My sentiments exactly!
Arguments that either the left or the right or anyone on either side of the multicultural issue caused this massacre are stupid.
Wilders and other criticis of multiculturalism are not responsible. Neither are the Norwegian left wing policymakers that Behrig terrorized. It can’t be pinned on Muslim immigrants, his parents, the victims or police, who everyone wishes would have arrived sooner.
Even though Al Qaeda bears a huge responsibility in the conflict with and within Islam, they are not responsible for this particular act.
Unless a link can be found, where anyone knowingly provoked or abetted Anders Behrig Breivik, the responsibility for these murders lies with him alone.
Those who are using this tragedy to blame anyone besides Breivik, and silence their opponents are severely twisted.
Here Here, I absolutely agree with you! Only one person is responsible for this, the terrorist himself! Anders Behrig Breivik acted alone!
Give the newly famous monster ten feet of rope and throw him into solitary confinement until he makes good use of it.
As to those who promote themselves by voicing fear of others or badmouthing others, no good will ever come of that. We are all the same. We all just live under different idiot people who have authority over us.
David, the following is a quote from an article in Deutsche Welle: 1. "One thing we have seen over the past two decades across Europe has been rising support for far-right political parties," said Matthew Goodwin, an expert on far-right politics at the University of Nottingham." 2. "Matthew Goodwin warned that among the growing support network for far-right parties is a minority of extremists who are likely to share Breivik's ideology. "Within this movement, this very broad subculture, I think it's fair to say that there are inevitably within each country a handful of would-be Breiviks, guys who are prepared to undertake violence," Goodwin said." 3. He stated under the section of "Frank debate": 'In spite of this, Goodwin asserted that no direct associations should be made between extreme right-wing groups and acts of violence in the wake of the attacks in Norway." 4. "But as far-right parties increasingly enter mainstream politics, Goodwin is among a series of experts who have called for a frank debate about immigration policy to address the concerns of far-right voters and prevent acts of violence in the future." 5. "I think there is a big question here about how governments and policy makers can begin to address some of the underlying anxieties within that wider pool of potential support," he said." David, what set this man off on a murder spree was set in motion by the "extreme left's" immigration policies. Wilder's is not the danger. The powers to be in Europeare the cause. The Marxist "left" and their insane immigrantion policies caused a trickle-down affect to an island in Norway. As to those one million people, it is too late. They know they opened the door to Pandora's box with their policies and they will not close it. Stop allowing millions to come in and change the European cultures. There is clash of civilasations taking place right now and what we saw in Norway was caused by insane immigration policies of the Marxists. Goodwin was right about a "frank debate" needs to take place on immigration. It stated he was an expert on far-right politics.
Give me a rest! Wilders and his friends are absolutely responsible for the blind selectivism that is focused so much on one religion. If you are going to preach intolerance of islam, do so for christianity and every other religion capable of violence as well.
Yes, Wilders is backtracking as fast as he can....we all know that words and hate are filtered into unstable people and then produce these outrageous acts. He just did not wake up one day and say I think I'm going on a killing spree....I hope Wilders will produce all the times he speaks about non-violence in his Hate speeches....I bet you won't find any. It's a shame it took so many young people to die to see through this despicable phony Dutch politician.
This is an odd position to take, Hiram. A government passes legislation that an extremist doesn't like, so this justifies the person taking bombs and an automatic weapon to kill 93 people? For Heaven's Sake, Hiram, are you defending this guy? He specially stated that the speeches and words of Geert and certain others inspired his acts, not just the policies of the Norwegian government alone. Geert's message found an ear to interpret them in a murderous way, since the PVV has not clarified in the the Netherlands how to remove one million people from the country simultaneously without the use of force. Geert has been ambiguous and has left plenty of latitude open in his remarks. Now he will have to be more responsible for his words in future.
David, you don't know by now that Hiram is a little off...... Just pass over his comments...He spews his hate with lots of words,(and he thinks he is all so intellectual and cute) but they all boil down to the same theme, Hate.
"The statement by the Freedom Party leader goes on to condemn Friday’s attacks as “a slap in the face for the worldwide anti-Islam movement” and to describe Breivik’s manifesto as the work of a madman." Response: Just as Geert Wilders stood-up and denounced the thousand massacres committed by those on a holy war, he was right to denounce he massacre committed by Anders Behring Breivik. Wilder's is being used by the extreme-left, the powers that control Europe's insane immigration policies, as a way to transfer any blame from the masacre of the innocent humans in Norway. Breivik clearly stated his massacre took place because of Norways immigration policies. It was the insane, immigration policies of the extreme left that set in motion the massacre of innocent children by Breivik. The "left" and their "one world policies" can not run away from this one because they set in motion this terroristic act. It isn't Geert! It is is the "left" and their policies that cause conflict.
Repulsed, Mr. Wilders? Why? Isn't hatred of Islam what you are so ardently preaching?
Geert Wilders cannot run away from this one!
First of all, we as human beings understand the world through language use, especially to define threatening situations. To speak of a "Muslim invasion," "Islam is a violent ideology," "the Left is helping Muslims destroy our Western civilization," is to speak of threats and danger that some people will take action against. When one makes these types of bogus claims that "Muslism and Leftists are destroying our way of life" - it's an open invasion for somebody, even those without mental disturbance, to do something violent about it to "save their country from this threat."
We should know that "Islamisation" and "Eurabia" are hateful myths that are not true. Muslims are not "threatening Europe" or the Netherlands or the US, or anyplace else in the Western world. When one does demographic research, one finds that it is impossible to claim that "Muslims are invading the West." "Muslims" are a very long way from "taking over the Netherlands."
The problem here is that security and intelligence services in Western countries have refused to devote manpower and resources to investigate Islamophobic radicals and instead devote an excessive amount of resources to the scant number of "jihadists" in Europe. The Dutch AIVD claims that it investigates groups and individuals who are "a threat to the democratic and legal order of the Netherlands." The reality is that they appear to have never investigated Wilders or the PVV -- the biggest threat to the democratic order of the Netherlands since the Nazi occupation. There is NO bigger threat to our democratic way of life based on liberty and freedom for ALL than Geert Wilders and the PVV, and both Wilders and his PVV own the terrorist acts in Norway and cannot hide from them!
