More about:

In the Dutch Premier League, Rotterdam dam club Feyenoord has scored its first victory of 2011. On Saturday, the squad beat Heracles Almelo 2-1. Ryo Miyaichi and Diego Biseswar scored for Feyenoord, Mark-Jan Fledderus scored for the Almelo team.

Frontrunner PSV gave AZ a 0-4 trashing. Balázs Dzsudzsák and Marcus Berg each scored two goals for the Eindhoven team. The result means PSV has consolidated its position as frontrunner in the Premier League. AZ, number six in the rankings, saw the distance between it and number five ADO Den Haag grow to four points.

Willem II played FC Utrecht to a 3-3 draw in a home game. Replacement Rangelo Janga in the 89th minute appeared to have given the Tilburg team its second victory, but FC Utrecht player Ismo Vorstermans managed to score an additional goal for his club in extra time. Dries Mertens scored the first two goals. Jan Arie van der Heijden and Juha Pekka Hakola scored the first two goals for Willem II, which now has five points less than the one-but-last team VVV-Venlo.

Ruling champion FC Twente only barely defeated Vitesse, 1-0, in a home game, but is still in the race for the title. Nacer Chadli scored the only goal in the 39th minute.

ADO Den Haag has put itself squarely in fifth place by beating VVV Venlo 3-0. The goals by Jens Toornstra and Dimitri Boelikin (two goals, one of them from a penalty) were all scored after half time. This was ADO’s fifth victory in a row, (After Willem II, Heerenveen, Excelsior and PSV) and the team from The Hague now has 41 points. VVV Venlo, after its 18th defeat, is now in 17th place with just 13 points to its name.
