Feyenoord fans are furious

Published on 22 January 2011 - 11:29pm
More about:

In the Dutch Premier League, Feyenoord fans are furious after the Rotterdam team lost 0-1 at home to De Graafschap. Leon Broekhoef scored for the away team from Doetinchem just before the whistle in De Kuip (The Tub) stadium. Feyenoord is having a terrible season, the last result means the team has sunk to fourteenth place in the league, while De Graafschap stays put in twelfth.

Willem II has won its first match in the 20th round of the premier division. The Tilburgers beat Vitesse Arnhem 1-0 at home. The one and only goal of the match fell in he 32nd minute scored by 18-year-old Rangelo Janga in his debut. In the first half of the competition Willem II only gained four points with an equal number of draws. Now the team is just three points behind VVV Venlo at the bottom of the league.

Nijmegen's NEC has drawn 2-2 with NAC Breda at home. The home team threw away its victory in the fourth minute of injury time. Björn Vleminckx scored for NEC before the break, but NAC's substitute Nemanja Gudelj drew in the 77th minute. The game appeared to be wrapped up for NEC when John Goossens scored from a distance, but an own goal by Bram Nuytinck in injury time changed everything.

The game between Alkmaar's AZ and Amelo's Heracles deservedly ended in a goalless draw. AZ were the better team on the artificial grass in Almelo’s Polman stadium, but the Alkmaar players missed momentum. Heracles has won most of its home games this season, only to lose points in away games.
