Dutch racing cyclist Bauke Mollema has earned himself the red jersey in the Spanish Vuelta.
The Dutchman leads the Tour of Spain on points after coming second in the ninth stage in the race. Sunday's race ended in a steep climb up La Covatilla after covering 183 kilometres from Villacastin to Sierra de Bejar. Only Irish cyclist Daniel Martin managed to stay ahead of him.
The Dutchman came third in Saturday's race after another difficult climb in San Lorenzo de El Escorial.
