Dutchman Joran van der Sloot pleaded guilty Wednesday to the 2010 murder of a young Peruvian woman, after his trial was delayed last week.

The 24-year-old defendant is also the prime suspect in the unsolved 2005 disappearance of US college student Natalee Holloway in the Caribbean, but has not been charged in that case.
