      Dutch towns cancel Israeli mayors' trip

      A decision by Dutch municipalities to withdraw an invitation to Israeli mayors has prompted outrage in Israel.

      The Association of Netherlands Municipalities says the delegation of 30 mayors who were to visit the Netherlands in October includes several mayors of settlements in the occupied West Bank.

      The Association of Netherlands Municipalities took the decision after consulting the Dutch foreign ministry.
