Dutch school hackers ‘alter marks’

Published on 21 January 2011 - 10:48am
More about:

Four students at the Thorbecke Lyceum secondary school in Rotterdam have been expelled for hacking into the school’s computer system, according to the Dutch tabloid, AD.

They are accused of systematically altering their marks after gaining access to the computers. Another ten students are reported to have been suspended for paying to have their marks changed.

The father of one of the expelled students says his son’s punishment is unjust. “There was absolutely no hard evidence to prove that he was involved,” he claims.
