The Dutch population has increased by 700,000 people in the first decade of the new millennium. The population now stands at 16.6 million, an increase of 4.5 percent.
Population growth in the Netherlands is slightly faster than the European Union average, according to figures published today by Statistics Netherlands (CBS).
Out of all the EU countries with a growing population, the contribution due to migration was lowest in the Netherlands. On average 81 percent of population growth in the EU was due to migration. However, in the Netherlands migration only contributed to 22 percent of the growth. In Belgium, this figure was 74 percent and in the United Kingdom 57 percent.

Correction:
How was the emigration factor calculated? One common trick is to subtract immigrants from emigrants. So, let's say 800 000 Dutchmen left Holland and a million foreigners came in: *migration* only contributes 200.000 to the population growth!
"However, in the Netherlands *migration* only contributed to 22 percent of the growth. In Belgium, this figure was 74 percent and in the United Kingdom 57 percent."
Now, how do you get a higher percentage in Belgium? Several ways, but one can see a simple one: less Belgians leaving the country.
Not a very convincing figure.
1) What part of the growth was due to immigrants having more "Dutch" children than the Dutch people?
2) How was the emigration factor calculated? One common trick is to subtract immigrants from emigrants. So, let's say 800 000 Dutchman left Holland and a million foreigners came in: immigration only contributes 200.000 to the population growth! QED. Of course, a million immigrants replaced in fact 800 000 emigrating Dutchmen in that example and that's a completely different story.
Rest assured that this fact will not appear on the PVV's general or Geert's next election platform!!
You are too gullible.
Has the PVV's election platform ever related to something factual? I think not.
