In terms of European politics, the Netherlands is exactly where it wants to be: right in the centre of the triangle formed by major powers Germany, France and the United Kingdom.
Prime Minister Mark Rutte made this remark in London meeting with his British colleague David Cameron on Monday. Mr Rutte pointed out that the Netherlands works closely together with Germany in the field of financial discipline and with France on immigration issues.
The Dutch prime minister added that the Netherlands and the UK are collaborating on measures to stimulate economic growth in the EU. The economy was an important issue during the meeting between Mr Rutte and Mr Cameron.
