FC Utrecht booked an important 2-0 win away to RKC in Waalwijk on Saturday evening.

Utrecht's tenth victory means the team trained by Jan Wouters are still in the race for the play-offs for a place in the Europa League.

RKC are also still in the race, but their defeat at the hands of Utrecht has not helped them. RKC, though, under trainer Ruud Brood are still two points ahead of Utrecht.

Heerenveen vs Vitesse
SC Heerenveen could only manage a 1-1 draw at home against Vitesse, reducing their chances of getting to the Europa League considerably. Heerenveen, trained by former National Dutch coach Marco van Basten, only had themselves to blame for the poor result.

After a swift opening goal, Heerenveen played increasingly less well. At first, Vitesse failed to take advantage of this. However, in the 79th minute, substitute Mike Havenaar equalised for them.
