Dutch flights delayed due to mist

Published on 21 September 2010 - 10:32am
More about:

There are delays to flights at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport and Rotterdam The Hague Airport due to thick mist. A spokesperson for Schiphol Airport advised passengers to contact their airlines for more information about flights.

In Rotterdam, planes have taken off on time, but delays are expected later, as planes are being held on the ground in Belgium, England and Germany because of the poor visibility. That means there could be a knock on effect as many will not arrive on time for the next take-off. Schiphol Airport is not ruling out cancellations.
