Dutch debtors still waiting for 3.9 billion euros

Published on 19 October 2011 - 1:43pm
More about:

Dutch debtors are still waiting for 3.9 billion euros from bankruptcies that occurred in 2010.

These figures were published by Statistics Netherlands on Wednesday. In at least 25 percent of cases, the creditors are thought highly unlikely ever to meet their financial obligations.

The economic crisis is seen as the main reason for a 300 percent increase in the number of bankruptcies compared to ten years ago. Last year 7,639 businesses went bankrupt; two thirds of them were partnerships.
