Dutch clubs FC Utrecht and AZ out of Europa League

Published on 3 December 2010 - 9:33am
More about:

FC Utrecht played Napoli at home in the Europa League on Thursday evening. The Dutch team trained by Ton du Chatinier was leading 3-1 but let the away side equalise and the final score was a disappointing 3-3 draw.

This means Utrecht with just four points after five games has been knocked out of the Europa League’s Group K. The Dutch side still has to play Liverpool on 15 December. The English side has already won a place in the knock-out phase of the international competition.

AZ Alkmaar was also knocked out of the Europa League on Thursday. They could only manage a 1-1 draw against FC Sheriff.
