A Dutch cleric who was a bishop in Kenya until 2009 has been accused of sexually abusing children. Kenyan newspaper The Daily Nation reports that the abuses occurred in 2003 before he was ordained as bishop.

The Vatican gave the bishop an early retirement after the accusations became known.

It is not known what form the abuse took or how many children were involved.
