After receiving a tip, Dutch police have discovered the remains of a woman at a campsite in Landsmeer, just north of Amsterdam. Forensic specialists have been busy combing through the playground on the camping terrain.
Last Monday, a 35-year-old woman from Birmingham, England, told British police that the body of a woman was buried at the campground in question. It is believed that the dead woman was murdered. Police are investigating whether the body is connected with the disappearance of a 21-year-old Polish woman in 2002.
Police in England have arrested and interrogated the woman who revealed the location of the body, as well as a 39-year-old man. Dutch police are working in conjunction with police in England and are expected to ask that the two suspects be extradited to the Netherlands.
