More about:

Dredging giant Koninklijke Boskalis Westminster has signed 90 million euros’ worth of contracts with the Nigerian government.

The biggest contract involves dredging and land reclamation projects in which Boskalis is to reclaim about 180 hectares of land for oil and gas company Intels Nigeria Ltd to make possible the further development of the Onne Port Oil & Gas Free Zone. Work on the project is expected to start in summer and will take two to three years to complete.

Three other projects in Nigeria involve the construction of a system for river bed decontamination, canal maintenance and land reclamation in the Niger Delta.
