Ajax have won their first game of the season in the Champions League. In Croatia, the Amsterdam team beat Dinamo Zagreb 2-0.
In the first half, the Dutch were the stronger team but failed to create many chances.
After the break, Ajax dominated the game. Derk Boerrigter opened the scoring with a convincing goal in the corner of the net. In spite of many chances, it was just before injury time before the Amsterdammers scored again with a goal from Christian Eriksen,
