Ajax win 4-0 in Champions League

Published on 2 November 2011 - 11:58pm
More about:

Amsterdam’s Ajax football club has beaten Dinamo Zagreb 4-0 in their Champions League game at home in the ArenA ground in the Dutch capital.

The superiority of the Dutch team was only in doubt during a short period just into the second half.

Gregory van der Wiel scored the first goal for Ajax 20 minutes into the game, Miralem Sulejmani followed with a second, five minutes later. After half-time, Siem de Jong crowned a great attack from Ajax with another goal and Nicolas Lodeiro made it 4-0 just before the final whistle.

Ajax beat Dinamo Zagreb 2-0 in Croatia a fortnight ago. The Amsterdam team is second in Group D in the Champions League after Real Madrid.
