Saturday night's fixture between the Dutch Premier League’s two top clubs Ajax and FC Twente ended in a one-all draw. Ajax winger Miralem Sulejmani opened the scoring in the Amsterdam Arena after ten minutes.
The home side failed to net a number of opportunities to secure a victory and saw Twente’s Luuk de Jong head in the equaliser just minutes before the final whistle.
Earlier on the night, PSV beat Roda JC Kerkrade hands down. The team from Eindhoven won 7-1 against the Limburg side, who were one man down for much of the game. PSV’s Dries Mertens was man of the match scoring four times. Hi teammates Ola Toivonen, Kevin Strootman and Tim Matavz scored the other three goals. For Roda, it was Sanharib Malki who did the honours.
ADO The Hague won 2-0 against VVV Venlo with goals from John Verhoek and Csaba Horvath before the break.
Heerveen drew 1-1 with Heracles Almelo. Oussama Assaidi put the Frisians ahead; but Samuel Armenteros scored the equaliser.
FInally, NAC Breda beat FC Utrecht 1-0 with a goal from Kees Luijckx in injury time.
