Air France-KLM announces more cuts

Published on 6 September 2011 - 8:23pm
More about:

Air France-KLM is planning to cut another 700 to 800 million euros a year in response to economic uncertainty and increasing competition.

French business paper Les Echos says this will come on top of the 470 million euros in cutbacks announced earlier.

The airline’s CEO Pierre-Henri Gourgeon reportedly told a group of trade unionists that “the belt will have to be firmly tightened.” He said every part of the company would be affected and he could not rule out redundancies.
