In the Gaza Strip, the United Nations has begun distributing aid goods from the convoy which was seized by Israel last month.
In a statement, the UN said: “the first lorries carrying goods from the Turkish convoy have entered the Gazastrip on Wednesday” . The rest of the goods are to be distributed in the coming weeks.
On 31 May Israeli commandos entered the six ships of the aid convoy in international waters. Nine people were killed in the operation, which sparked a major diplomatic dispute between Israel and Turkey, where the victims were from.
