Immigration Minister Gerd Leers argues that “Migration enriches our society.” The minister made his statement in an article published in a magazine from the Christian democratic CDA’s scientific institute.
The CDA is one of the coalition partners in the centre-right minority cabinet which relies on Geert Wilders’ Freedom party for parliamentary support. In a reaction, Mr Wilders tweeted: "Leers is talking CDA nonsense on immigration. A little silly. But the Freedom Party passes stern judgment based on results and meeting commitments."
Minister Leers states that a society which tries to curb immigration is “on the wrong track.” He says he wants to dispel negative ideas about immigration and emphasise a positive image. He regrets that the political and social debate of the past few years has put immigration in a bad light.

It's time to stop favouring Muslim immigration, in order to secure the votes from their large families! Bring in instead the non-Muslim migrants and refugees , especially Jews and Christians being persecuted in Islamic-ruled countries to balance back demographically such dangerous dominant Islamic migration into Europe/the West, such as the brave Egyptian Coptic Christians. This Minister should realize that the fascist Left especially the Socialists love ‘multiculturalism’ but a false ‘multiculturalism’ as dominated by Muslim migrants, is not because they’re being goody-goody but for their own most selfish interest, to get the votes on their side because they know, Muslim migrants who have large families including from barbaric polygamy (one father for example will father twenty children from four wives – where’re the feminists against this exploitation of women/children, including for the Muslim men to gain as much welfare as they can through the children) will usually vote for them if they champion for Islam, and will continue so through the next generation on and on, like in fascist Socialist-controlled Scandinavian countries!
Sounds like a man out of touch with reality ; perhaps another religious idealist . They always think things are the way they should be instead of the way they really are . Wilders, however harsh,is willing to accept reality even if it hurts. It's too bad more people don't look ahead and see the inevitable coming. According to demographics alone Muslims, who have big families , will multiply fast and will turn Europe into an Islamic continent about 25 years from now. Tolerance fanatics and do-gooders shouldn't forget that those people bring a poisonous culture with them - something nobody with a heart would inflict on their worst enemy. Maybe this guy Leer never got punched for shaking hands with a Muslim woman or demonized for "insulting " Islam like Geert Wilders did. Maybe he thinks it's okay to live in a society where men are allowed to beat their wives.

Please enlightmen me with facts and figures Ted, especially those that show that the immigrants cause prosperity and aren't merely drawn to already existing prosperity.

People who think immigration causes economic harm haven't been studying the link between economic prosperity and the influx of foreign workers to the Netherlands between the 60s and 80s.
For sure immigration enriches; even Staphorst will get enlightened by it.
And I'm very sure he'll follow this up with facts and figures on how immigration from Morocco and Turkey have enriched the Netherlands.
