Government officials in Zimbabwe have held another protest march to reinforce their demands for higher pay. Civil servants currently earn the equivalent of a maximum 150 euros per month. They are asking for three times as much.
Around 1000 demonstrators marched through the streets in the capital Harare. They handed over petitions to the government and parliament.
Unions had called for all civil servants to down tools. The government of national unity which came into office a year ago says 60 percent of the country's income goes into running the civil service. It says there is no money to pay higher salaries.
