At least twenty rebels have been killed in renewed clashes in northern Yemen, according to Yemeni military reports. The fighting took place on three fronts near Sa'dah in northwestern Yemen.
On Saturday, rebel leader Abdul Malik al-Huthi said he would accept the terms of a government ceasefire offer. A government spokesperson said Sanaa was "studying the initiative."
Yemeni government forces and Shiite rebels have been locked in conflict since 2004. Fighting flared up in August last year, following an army offensive.
