In the Dutch Premier League, Alkmaar AZ has scored its first victory with new trainer Dick Advocaat. The team won 3-0 at home against ADO Den Haag, with goals from Rasmus Elm, Sébastien Pocognoli and Maarten Martens. ADO’s trainer, Raymond Atteveld, was sent off the pitch in the second half for arguing with the referee.
In other Saturday matches, Rotterdam’s Feyenoord won their fourth game in a row with a home victory against Willem II from Tilburg. Sekou Cissé scored the single, winning goal.
Bottom-of-the-leaguers RKC Waalwijk won 4-1 at home against Sparta Rotterdam. Two of the goals came from Dirk Boerrigter.
