Spanish Judge Eloy Velasco accuses Venezuela of lending material support to the FARC and ETA terror movements.
The left-wing Colombian movement FARC reportedly asked the Basque nationalist organisation ETA for support in a plot to kill Colombian officials in Spain. The targets included Colombian President Alvaro Uribe and former president Andres Pastrana. Judge Velasco says the two organisations have been working together since 1993. Venezuelan official Arturo Cubillas Fontan allegedly acted, or may be still acting, as an intermediary.
