Two NATO soldiers missing in Afghanistan

NATO forces in Afghanistan say two US soldiers have gone missing. Twenty-five soldiers have been subsequently injured during a search and rescue operation.

 

NATO says they were attacked by insurgents. The head of police in the western province of Badghis the soldiers were hit by friendly fire. Taliban forces have since announced they found the bodies of two NATO soldiers. They claim they had drowned in the western province of Badghis. It's not clear if they two are the missing soldiers. Foreign troops rarely go missing in Afghanistan. A US soldier disappeared in June. Rebels say they have kidnapped him. US forces are still looking for him.
