Two nuclear power stations in the Brazilian Angra dos Reis may have to be closed as a precaution following landslides in the town last week.
Mayor Tuco Jordao has asked for temporary closure of the power stations. He says it is impossible to quickly evacuated the 35,000 people living in the town. The landslide has closed the main road to and from the town.
At least 68 people have been killed in landslides in the southeast state of Rio de Janeiro. More than 4000 people have been evacuated. Rescue workers are still searching for survivors.
The landslides and flooding have been caused by torrential rains.
