Web surfers have voted the website Tweakers.net Dutch Website of the Year. In the category of Computers and Technology the tweakers' site easily beat contenders like last year's winners Google and Dutch social networking site, Hyves. Tweakers.net bills itself as the technology and consumer electronics website of the Netherlands. It offers news, product reviews, price and quality comparisons, and a users forum.

Tweakers.net also won in the categories of "best news website" and "best comparison site".

The election of Website of the Year is organised by two respected marketing companies in the Netherlands, Emerce and Metrixlab. The organisers say 1.3 million web users voted this year, giving websites points for content, navigation and design.
