Turkey lashes out at Wilders

Published on 24 November 2009 - 7:27pm
More about:

Turkey's foreign ministry has fiercely criticised Dutch anti-Islam MP Geert Wilders, calling his ideas racist and fascist.

A delegation of Dutch MPs are planning to visit Turkey early in January. A Turkish foreign ministry spokesman says relations between his country and the Netherlands will suffer if Mr Wilders is part of the group. He says neither Turkey's government nor members of its parliament are willing to meet the populist Dutch MP.

The spokesman stressed Mr Wilders was not welcome in many European capitals and that a similar view prevailed in Ankara. Mr Wilders argues the row demonstrates that Turkey is not a democratic country and does not belong within the European Union.

There is almost no media coverage about Mr Wilders coming to Turkey and it is not true that whole Turkey lashes out. But I guess this makes the headline of RNW more interesting. There is no problem Wilders coming to Turkey and even makes a speech in the parliament, although there are far more important issues Turkey is currently dealing with internally (Solving Kurdish problem) However, I would like to ask Dutch people to put themselves on our feet: An extremist, populist and/or anti-Christian character comes to the Netherlands with Turkish official delegation and makes a speech in the parliement in The Hague. What would you think?

"What would you think?"........I think the Islamic community at large wants the West at large to put their heads in a hole while their community commits Jihad against them. They don't want anyone speaking out against their crimes. Wilders is like Paul Revere, an American patriot, who went about his community and warning them of the British. He was trying to potect his community and Wilders is like Paul Revere in his warning against Islam. Just has the British are still a danger to our liberties, so is Islam.

"I think the Islamic community at large wants the West at large to put their heads in a hole while their community commits Jihad against them" If I also thought in this way, I should have been worried every Christian I know is from Ku Klux Klan and one of them will burn my home one day.. Not surprised to see whom Wilders inspires..

"If I also thought in this way, I should have been worried every Christian I know is from Ku Klux Klan and one of them will burn my home one day.. Not surprised to see whom Wilders inspires.."......The big difference between Islam and the Christianity is: Muslims have been and are presently committing horrendous crimes against humanity; whereas, Christians are not. { Muslims have committed so many crimes in the name of Islam that their crimes are synonymous with Islam and Islam, like the British, is therefore dangerous. {Paul Revere, like the common or average man of his day, knew first hand the dangers of the British. He knew the British committed so many crimes against humanity or against anyone who disagreed with them. Therefore, when the Revere saw the imminent dangers of the British, he warned his people. Likewise, Wilders recognises the imminent dangers of Islam and he is warning his people of the dangers. {As to your statement: "Not surprised to see whom Wilders inspires.." It is easy to see who he inspires but you have to remove those Islamic blinders to see the whole picture. My friend, do you know what a blinder is? It is: "either of two flaps on a horse's bridle to keep it from seeing objects at its sides". Don't let Islam be a blinder to the truth. The truth is: Wilders is correct abount the dangers of Islam and he is trying to get people to get their heads out of the holes ignorance. Be nice, okay. We know all Muslims are not dangerous but we do know how dangerous the followers of Islam can be. We aren't stupid!

So, what does the Turkish goverment want the Dutch and EU government to do with Mr. Wilders? What would they do with one of their citizens who spoke-out harshly against non-Muslims? Isn't Wilders a member of the EU and as a member doesn't he have the right to move freely throughout the EU? By whining against Wilders you make him politicial stronger. He thrives on attention and you know what? He might be a anti-Muslim but do you Muslims and those who want to appease them understand why he might be as he is? To any Muslim out there. Can't you understand why he is as he is? You have named numerous things non-Muslims have done to offend you but what have you done, besides complaining about your host, to offend people like Wilders? Be honest with yourselves!
