Tokyo has beaten Paris as the culinary capital of the world.
The Japanese capital currently has 11 three-star restaurants, Paris has only ten.
Michelin only used Japanese inspectors this time to evaluate Tokyo’s restaurants. In previous years, there was criticism that foreigners could not evaluate the Japanese cuisine properly.
It is not entirely surprising that Tokyo beat Paris, as the Japanese capital has 160,000 restaurants compared to only 40,000 in Paris.
Switzerland has the highest number of Michelin stars per capita.

40,000 and 160,000 restaurants in these cities? I can hardly believe it, they are so many. Where do they keep them? I can only imagine that having a business on restaurant equipment and supplies in any of these cities would be a big success.
