After little activity in the first two and a half months of this year's hurricane season, three tropical storms developed over the Atlantic Ocean this weekend.
The first, Ana, which is moving over the northeastern Caribbean, has already weakened to a tropical depression.
Tropical storm Bill was the second to develop and is stronger, with meteorologists forecasting it could reach hurricane force and become a real threat. However, at the moment, it is far from any coastlines.
Tropical Storm Claudette, the third of the group, and weaker than Bill is moving up the western coast of Florida in the United States today (Monday).
The hurricane season runs from June to November. This time last year, five tropical storms had already formed over the Atlantic.
