Three people have been killed and at least six injured in a suicide bomb attack on a UN World Food Programme in the Pakistani capital Islamabad.
The victims are two Pakistani women and one foreigner whose identity has not yet been released. In the past two years, bomb attacks have claimed the lives of at least 2,100 people in Pakistan. Most of the attacks are attributed to the al-Qaeda terror network or to Taliban insurgents. These organisations operate from bases in the northwest, one of the regions where the UN WFP has a presence.
