Ninety thousand people who have been waiting for years for a Dutch passport may soon finally be granted citizenship of the Netherlands, Green Left MP Naïma Azough has told Radio Netherlands Worldwide.
People born before 1985 to a Dutch mother and a foreign father had no right to Dutch nationality. Only the children of a Dutch father were entitled to a Dutch passport. Although a temporary scheme enabled the group to acquire Dutch citizenship, many were unaware of the possibility at the time.
According to Ms Azough, Deputy Justice Minister Nebahat Albayrak is to seek a solution for this group, who despite having lived for years in the Netherlands still face the threat of deportation. A majority of MPs back the move, and a parliamentary debate is scheduled for this week.

This article has no substance and is quite ridiculous. It does not explain the title at all.
What kind of article is this? Where does the figure of ninety thousand come from? What is the basis for naming such a high figure?
