Thais test H1N1 vaccine nose spray

Trials have begun in Thailand to test a vaccination for new influenza A(H1N1) via a nose spray.

Twenty-four volunteers have agreed to be quarantined for a week after receiving their first vaccination. The second dose is given three weeks later.

The results will take two to four months, after which 400 people will be vaccinated in this way.

Swine flu, which is known as Mexican flu in the Netherlands, has infected 30,000 people in Thailand, 190 have died of the disease.
