From now on, tourists entering the United States will have to pay ten US dollars to enter the country. The charge is part of the Travel Promotion Act approved by the US Senate. The money raised by the new law will be used to promote tourism in the United States.
The number of overseas visitors has fallen by almost three million a year since the 11 September attacks of 2001, while the number of long-distance tourists worldwide has increased.
The ten dollars will be collected at the airport on arrival. Regular visitors to the US will not have to pay each time. The charge will only be levied twice each year. Visas for the US will continue to be free.
Around 23 million tourists visit the US each year. Since 2008, all visitors have been obliged to register online before they arrive.

I love it....so american. The people are visiting your country, so you charge them for coming... So american!
