Taliban attacks on convoys

Published on 1 March 2010 - 12:23pm
More about:

A suicide attack on a NATO convoy has killed at least four Afghan civilians and injured one. It is not yet known if any soldiers died.

The perpetrator drove into the convoy in a car full of explosives. The attack took place in the southern Afghan province of Kandahar. The Taliban have claimed responsibility.

The insurgents are suspected to be also behind a gun attack on a convoy of lorries carrying oil for NATO troops in Afghanistan in north-western Pakistan. One person was injured and one lorry burst into flames.
