Ahmed Masoud was born in the Gaza Strip just before an Israeli air raid. His father rescued him from his cot as the hospital was getting hit by fire. Years later, Ahmed ran away from home after discovering that there were two babies in the cot and that his father may not have taken the right one.
He tells The State We're In why he didn't get DNA-tested to resolve his crisis of identity and why he now can see things from his parents' point of view.
