Suicide bomber attacks Pakistan checkpoint

Published on 14 November 2009 - 5:52pm
More about:

In a suicide car bomb attack in the Pakistani city of Peshawar, at least 10 people have been killed and 25 injured.

The bomber detonated the explosives in his car when he was forced to stop at a checkpoint.

Peshawar, close to the Afghan border, is a regular target for such attacks, especially since the Pakistani army began an offensive against militant groups in the border region of South Waziristan.

In two separate roadside bomb attacks in Afghanistan, two United States soldiers and a US civilian were also killed.
