Over 40 people have been killed in a suicide bomb attack in the Pakistani city of Peshawar.
More than 100 people were injured. The bomb exploded at the Khyber Bazaar, one of the city’s largest markets.
Such attacks occur regularly in Peshawar, which lies in the north of Pakistan not far from the Afghan border. Al-Qaeda or the Taliban usually claim responsibility. Since April the Pakistani army has been carrying out an offensive against the Taliban in the region.
