      Spanish police target Russian mafia

      Spanish police say at least 69 people have been arrested in a large-scale international operation targeting the Russian mafia.

      A total of 24 people have been arrested in Spain, and at least 45 more in a number of other, unspecified European countries. 

      Spanish police add that the operation is still underway. Those arrested in Spain are mainly Russians. According to Spanish radio, they are suspected of laundering illicit proceeds of the drugs trade.
